1445 - 1600, pleasantly sunny, 19c : Little Owl 2 in oak alongside canal, Heron, Moorhen, Mallard 6, Swallow 3, Linnet 6, Bullfinch, Whitethroat, Blackcap, Chiffchaff, Dunnock. Also seen - Common Blue 4, Speckled Wood 2, Meadow Brown 2, Peacock 2, Small Tortoiseshell, Green-veined White, Small White 6, Silver Y 2, Latticed Heath, Common Marbled Carpet, Brown Hawker 7. At Winterley Lane still 8 House Martins around nesting area.
