Little of interest seen bird-wise this afternoon, in contrast to yesterday. Butterflies seen were Brimstone m, Orange Tip 6m & 1f, Green-veined White 6, Small White 4, Small Tortoiseshell 15, Peacock 12 and a Speckled Wood. Glossy Ibis (present again at 0840. Flew off north with two Herons at about 0900). Also seen were Cormorant, Heron (2 over), Sand Martin 5, Swallow, G C Grebe 4. At the brickworks field Teal (pair), Lapwing and Song Thrush.
Present during the afternoon were Long-tailed Tit (pair), Pied Wagtail 2, Reed Bunting (male), Mistle Thrush and Herring Gull 2. Also a Small Tortoiseshell. (GWR / PPN)

Glossy Ibis (flew in at 1440 and fed around horse stables. Possible first record for Stubbers Green. Distant photo's enclosed). Also seen were Little Ringed Plover (2 feeding and flying round), Oystercatcher 2, Lapwing 2, Heron 2, Great Crested Grebe 4, Cormorant, Teal (pair), Stock Dove 2, Pied Wagtail, Linnet (pair). At 1450 a probable Sparrowhawk flew through, seemed very brown on the back though.
