1515 - 1530 sunny but breezy, 17c : Lapwing, Oystercatcher, Greylag, Chaffinch, Goldfinch, LBB Gull 29, Herring Gull 2, GC Grebe, Moorhen 2, Canada Geese & young 200+, Tufted Duck 4, Mallard & young 90+. Great Spotted Woodpecker (seen feeding on the ground 17th June as per NR).
At nearby Rushall a Painted Lady (photo) and Hummingbird Hawkmoth were seen.(GWR)

    Hi... On Wednesday 17th June I drove through Stubbers Green and there was a Grea Spotted Woodpecker feedin on the ground on the right hand side amongst the Canada Geese

      Thanks for the info, i've seen them in the Poplar trees on the grass verge but not on the ground. Regards, Gaz.
