0830 - 0900 strong south-westerlies : Common Tern, Blackcap male, Willow Warbler, Chiffchaff, Swallow 8, Pied Wagtail, Meadow Pipit 2, Skylark, Great Spotted Woodpecker, GC Grebe 3, Mute Swan 2, Lapwing 4, Long Tailed Tit 2.
A few record shots of yesterday's Swallows, Sand Martin, Peregrine, White Wag & LRP.

  3. I find the blog very interesting and informative BUT it would be very useful if you were to identify the locations of the less common sightings where possible. I have been down there a number of times recently but have never seen the variety of species. I have even tried to pinpoint the locations from the photographs, such as the kingfisher on the pipe, but without success! Nevertheless keep up the good work!

    1. Thanks Bob, The Kingfisher on the pipe was taken at the pool known as the lagoon. Take the footpath at the Aldridge end of Swan Pool which leads past the lagoon and marsh to the canal. Most of the finch and warbler species can be seen along this path. Cheers, Gaz.
